LGPC Popularity Continues to Grow

Following on from the success of the first Local Government Property Conference in 2006, 3 more events have been scheduled for this year.

The first LGPC of 2007 took place in Yorkshire on 6th July, closely followed by a second in London later that month.  Both events were well attended and gained positive feedback.  Lawyers and property professionals from almost 50 different authorities attended travelling from as far afield as Northern Ireland and the South and South West of England.

A full day event featuring renowned speakers from Davitt Jones Bould, King's Chambers and Bruton Knowles, LGPC consists of 6 lectures entirely focussed on topics particularly relevant to local government officers with responsibility for property.

Topics covered include:

  • 'Successful Land Assembly – Using CPOs Effectively'
  • 'New Planning Regime'
  • 'Effective Disposals – Ensuring Best Price and Value'
  • 'The Crichel Down Rules'
  • 'Clawback and Overage'.

Davitt Jones Bould is proud to be part of an event like LGPC.  These courses give DJB an excellent opportunity to share its substantial knowledge and update Local Authority employees on the things they need to know about property and the public sector.

The final event of 2008 is due to take place at Keele, Staffordshire, on 6th November and is already proving popular.

Although places are limited, there are some still available.  For further information, please visit the LGPC website or contact the Conference Organisers on 0845 2050045.
